Vector Labs is not built around generic academic support. It is shaped by direct experience in German applied research, machine learning, computer vision, forecasting, published research, and research-to-business systems.

German M.Sc. research background

Led by Md Ifraham Iqbal, whose academic background includes an M.Sc. in Data Science from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, with a major focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Impact: Students and research teams receive support from someone trained inside a rigorous German research environment, not from generic academic-service providers.

Computer Vision thesis depth

The founder’s German M.Sc. thesis work focused on advanced computer vision and image-security research, including defensive watermarking, watermark-removal attacks, robustness, and traceability in AI-generated or digitally distributed media.

Impact: This gives Vector Labs practical experience in structuring difficult research questions, designing experiments, analyzing results, and presenting technical findings clearly.

Fraunhofer applied research experience

Md Ifraham Iqbal worked as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IEE, part of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest applied research organization. His work involved energy data analysis, forecasting-relevant consumption patterns, and ML-based residual demand forecasting workflows.

Impact: This adds applied-research discipline: research must be technically sound, reproducible, useful, and connected to real-world systems.

Published machine learning research

The founder’s research background includes published work in machine learning, public-health forecasting, CNN-based tabular learning, dengue outbreak prediction, and COVID-19 forecasting.

Impact: Vector Labs can support researchers not only with implementation, but with research framing, methodology, evaluation, result interpretation, and publication-oriented structure.

Computer vision beyond the lab

Previous smart mobility work applied deep learning to parking-space detection, vehicle classification, number-plate recognition, and real-time vehicle counting. The work was later adopted by Bangladesh’s Roads and Highways Division for monitoring vehicles entering and exiting Dhaka city.

Impact: This demonstrates research moving into practical deployment, which is exactly the gap Vector Labs helps clients and researchers bridge.
